Laman Persona @ Cheroh, Raub

In my previous post (if you haven't check that out, click this: http://mylilbffs.blogspot.com/2014/07/raub-durian-orchard-raub-pahang.html), I brought some friends to visit my own hometown, Raub. Raub is a small town yet quite happening one. We have a lot place of attractions which mainly are resorts, the mother nature of waterfalls or rivers and also the orchards.

For dinner, I brought them to one of the resorts called Laman Persona (in Chinese, 明河園 and pronounced as "Ming He Yuan"). It is located at Cheroh, which is 20-25 mins drive away from the town. If you are in the town, when the moment you see the field and the divider to turn left or turn right, just turn left and drive all the way straight till you see the resort's signboard.

The visitor's parking was outside the resort and those who staying in the resort can park their cars inside the resort. The resort provides a lot of facilities like Thai Massage and Spa, Mini Zoo, BBQ site and other facilities. I heard that in future, the resort will provide packages of outdoor activities such as flying fox, jungle trekking, water rafting, camping and etc.

Laman Persona Resort has three (3) cuisines which are Thai food, Chinese food and also Western food. At first, I want to bring them to eat Chinese cuisine but when I was asking my friends for opinion, the Thai food sound appealing and tasty. So, we opt for Thai food!

The Thai restaurant is called Sala Thai Restaurant. Due to fasting (in Malay, is 'puasa') month, the restaurant provide "buka puasa" buffet, and they informed us that the dinner will be start serving at 7.30 pm. So, we went for a walk around the resort and photo shooting time!

We went to the mini zoo which the zoo have rabbits, ducks, swans, chickens, goats and squirrel. See the rabbit? Lay down like a boss!

Beware of falling durians! Everyone starts covering their heads cuz what had happened that afternoon at the Raub Durian Orchard!

A small river across the resort. The heat in Raub has make the water reduced but when raining season come, the water will fill up the river fast.

The owner's house/bungalow. No entry for that!

Then, we walked around the accommodation area. The accommodation area is not allowed to enter after 6 pm except the resort's customers to stay a night there.

Too tired to climb this steep road to your own room? No worries, the resort provides the services to drive you and your bags up to the hill... to your room by using golf carts.

Since is not accessible by public after 6 pm, so I only can took this picture from down part of the resort.

The Chinese restaurant, Song Huang Ge Restaurant. If you are lazy to walk up to the restaurant or you are wearing nice dress to attend banquet here, the golf cart also will carries passengers to this restaurant.

Nearby the restaurant, there is a Thai massage and spa. And also this jacuzzi and spa rooms. I'm not sure is public accessible or not... but there was no notices around there. I just went up to look around.

To enjoy your jacuzzi while looking at this beautiful scenery... the mother nature... is a WOW. For me, I always enjoy the greenish scenery. They look so calming.

It's time for dinner! We walked down to the restaurant. The restaurant is a garden restaurant. You must be wondering where is the third restaurant when I mentioned this resort has 3 cuisines. The Western Cuisine restaurant was located at the first floor of the building inside the garden. The cafe  is called as  D'Terrance and it was open air cafe.

Since we have 10 peoples, we are sitting at the hut like this!

The appetizer which is papaya salad with some chicken wings. I'm so sorry cuz I accidentally threw away my bill, and I can't remember any this dishes name! (>.<)

Chicken Tom Yam soup! Yum yum...

The green curry. This is my first time to eat green curry. And I found it's taste sweet than the red one.

Japanese bean curd (Tofu) with vegetables.

Last but not least, the eggs. We thought is omelette as there is no picture of this dish in the menu. The eggs were cooked with some Thai special sauce. Not a spicy dish!

The night scenery of the resort.

You can go and click into this link: http://lamanpesona.com.my/ to make booking for a night stay or try to search in https://www.livingsocial.com/my as I noticed they always have promotions in the website.
